Privacy Policy

This policy explains how AIGCVerify handles uploaded files and request information when providing provenance checks. Confirm that you are authorized to process a file before uploading it.

Effective August 6, 2026

Uploaded files

A file is read only for the current verification request and sent to the OpenAI Content Provenance API. The application code does not write it to local disk or create a user file library. The site cannot restore a file after completion or failure.

Third party processing

Uploaded files are processed by the OpenAI API. Zero Data Retention does not apply to this endpoint. Current retention and processing rules are governed by OpenAI’s API data controls policy.

Request information

Hosting and network infrastructure may process standard request metadata such as IP address, time, path, browser information, and error records for security, reliability, and troubleshooting. The application does not send the API key to the browser.

Cookies and analytics

The application currently sets no analytics cookies and includes no advertising tracker or user profiling tool. The hosting platform may use necessary security or session technologies under its own policy.

Your choices

Do not upload files containing personal, confidential, or restricted information you are not authorized to process. Stop uploading to prevent new file processing. Direct privacy requests to the maintainer who provided the deployment URL.
